On A Picture Of Seneca Dying In A Bath, By Jordain Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBCCDEFGHHII

While cruel Nero only drainsA
The moral Spaniard's ebbing veinsA
By study worn and slack with ageB
How dull how thoughtless is his rageB
Heighten'd revenge he should have tookC
He should have burnt his tutor's bookC
And long have reign's supreme in viceD
One noble wretch can only riseE
'Tis he whose fury shall defaceF
The Stoic's Image in this pieceG
For while unhurt divine JordainH
Thy work and Seneca's remainH
He still has body still has soulI
And lives and speaks restored and wholeI
