Too vehement but always true | D |

Applauses which no art can fashion | E |
Which speak the feelings and no more | F |
Which give respect the glow of passion | E |
When worth and valour we adore | F |

Blest is the hero in receiving | G |
And pride may scoff at or despise | H |
What if but once sincere believing | G |
Is grateful to the good and wise | H |
