To Memory Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBCCBBC DEDFGH

Oh in this dearth and winter of the soulA
When even Hope still wont to soar and singB
Droopeth a starveling bird whose downy wingB
Stiffens ere dead through the dank drift it fallC
Yea ere Hope perish utterly I callC
On thee fond Memory that thou haste and bringB
One leaf one blossom from that far off springB
When love's auroral light lay over allC
-
Bring but one pansy haply so the thrillD
Of poignant yearning for those glad dead yearsE
May like the gusty south breathe o'er the chillD
Of frozen grief dissolving it in tearsF
Till numb Hope stirred by that warm dropping rainG
Will deem perchance Love's springtide come againH
