The Music-lesson Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBACCA DEEDFFD GHHIJJI

A thrush alit on a young leaved sprayA
And lightly clingingB
It rocked in its singingB
As the rapturous notes rose loud and gayA
And with liquid shakesC
And trills and breaksC
Rippled though blossoming bough of MayA
-
Like a ball of fluff with a warm brown throatD
And throbbing bosomE
'Mid the apple blossomE
The new fledged nestling sat learning by roteD
To echo the songF
So tender and strongF
As it feebly put in its frail little noteD
-
O blissfullest lesson amid the green groveG
The low wind crispethH
The leaves where lispethH
The shy little bird with its parent aboveI
Two voices that mingleJ
And make but a singleJ
Hymn of rejoicing in praise of their loveI
