The Agnostic Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBACBBD EFFEEF

NOT in the hour of peril thronged with foesA
Panting to set their heel upon my headB
Or when alone from many wounds I bledB
Unflinching beneath Fortune's random blowsA
Not when my shuddering hands were doomed to closeC
The unshrinking eyelids of the stony deadB
Not then I missed my God not then but saidB
'Let me not burden God with all man's woes 'D
-
But when resurgent from the womb of nightE
Spring's Oriflamme of flowers waves from the SodF
When peak on flashing Alpine peak is trodF
By sunbeams on their missionary flightE
When heaven kissed Earth laughs garmented in lightE
That is the hour in which I miss my GodF
