Sundered Paths Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBC DEED FGGF HIIH JKKL MNNM

TWO travellers worn with sun and rainA
And gropings o'er dim paths unknownB
Meet where long separate ways have grownB
To one and then diverge againC
-
They halt anigh the green waysideD
Where groves pant with the impassioned songE
Of nightingales wild roses throngE
There round them leaning side by sideD
-
As close and still more close they clingF
Like some weird tale once more in dreamsG
Lived through with ghastlier horror seemsG
That old cold lonely wayfairingF
-
Oh close sweet clasp of hands oh sweetH
Close beat of heart on happy heartI
Beating as though no more apartI
Their pulses ever again should beatH
-
One look of love one long embraceJ
One kiss that welds two lives in oneK
And lo the sudden lifted sunK
Lights their slow feet on separate waysL
-
Fledged by strong love their wing d speechM
Is borne awhile from soul to soulN
Then ever widening waters rollN
And drown their voices each from eachM
