On The Lighthouse At Antibes Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBA CDCDED

A stormy light of sunset glows and glaresA
Between two banks of cloud and o'er the brineB
Thy fair lamp on the sky's carnation lineB
Alone on the lone promontory flaresA
Friend of the Fisher who at nightfall faresA
Where lurk false reefs masked by the hyalineB
Of dimpling waves within whose smile divineB
Death lies in wait behind Circean snaresA
-
The evening knows thee ere the evening starC
Or sees that flame sole Regent of the bightD
When storm hoarse rumoured by the hills afarC
Makes mariners steer landward by thy lightD
Which shows through shock of hostile nature's warE
How man keeps watch o'er man through deadliest nightD
