Beside a Dial in the leafy close | B |
Where every bush was burning with the Rose | C |
With million roses falling flake by flake | D |
Upon the lawn in fading summer snows | C |

I read the Persian Poet's rhyme of old | E |
Each thought a ruby in a ring of gold | E |
Old thoughts so young that after all these years | F |
They're writ on every rose leaf yet unrolled | E |

You may not know the secret tongue aright | E |
The Sunbeams on their rosy tablets write | E |
Only a poet may perchance translate | E |
Those ruby tinted hieroglyphs of light | E |
