On Guido's Aurora Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBA CDDCDC

GLORIOUS in saffron robes and veil unfurledA
Borne on the wind of her ecstatic flightB
Aurora floats before the Lord of LightB
And showers her roses on a jubilant worldA
Lo where he beams ambrosial yellow curledA
The God of Day with unapparent mightB
Checking his fiery steeds that plunge and biteB
As if from heaven his Chariot should be hurledA
-
And on the Clouds a many tinted bandC
Of Hours dance round their Leader grave or gayD
As glowing near or in his wake they swayD
While poised above the sun awakened landC
The Morning Star fair herald of the dayD
Hovers a Cupid back blown torch in handC
