Haunted Streets Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis
Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABCA DEEDDE| Lo haply walking in some clattering street | A |
| Where throngs of men and women dumbly pass | B |
| Like shifting pictures seen within a glass | B |
| Which leave no trace behind one seems to meet | A |
| In roads once trodden by our mutual feet | A |
| A face projected from that shadowy mass | B |
| Of faces quite familiar as it was | C |
| Which beaming on us stands out clear and sweet | A |
| - | |
| The face of faces we again behold | D |
| That lit our life when life was very fair | E |
| And leaps our heart toward eyes and mouth and hair | E |
| Oblivious of the undying love grown cold | D |
| Or body sheeted in the churchyard mould | D |
| We stretch out yearning hands and grasp the air | E |
