Dost Thou Remember Ever Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBB CCDDD EEFFF

Dost thou remember ever for my sakeA
When we two rowed upon the rock bound lakeA
How the wind fretted waters blew their sprayB
About our brows like blossom falls of MayB
One memorable dayB
-
Dost thou remember the glad mouth that criedC
Were it not sweet to die now side by sideC
To lie together tangled in the deepD
Close as the heart beat to the heart so keepD
The everlasting sleepD
-
Dost thou remember Ah such death as thisE
Had set the seal upon my heart's young blissE
But wrenched asunder severed and apartF
Life knew a deadlier death the blighting smartF
Which only kills the heartF
