Analkh Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis
Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBA CDCDDC| Like a great rock which looming o'er the deep | A |
| Casts his eternal shadow on the strands | B |
| And veiled in cloud inexorably stands | B |
| While vaulting round his adamantine steep | A |
| Embattled breakers clamorously leap | A |
| Sun garlanded and hope uplifted bands | B |
| But soon with waters shattered in the sands | B |
| Slowly recoiling back to ocean creep | A |
| - | |
| So sternly dost thou tower above us Fate | C |
| For still our eager hearts exultant beat | D |
| Borne in the hurrying tide of life elate | C |
| And dashing break against thy marble feet | D |
| But would Hope's rainbow aureole round us fleet | D |
| Without these hurtling shocks of man's estate | C |
