Hither amongst the Crouds that shunA
The smoaky Town and sultry SunA
In cooling Springs to seek for HealthB
Or throw away superfluous WealthB
A Native of Hibernia cameC
Thus writ her Thoughts but not her NameC

Hither the Britons void of CareD
A happy free born Race repairD
Whilst I who feel a diff'rent FateE
Lament my Country's wretched StateE
The pitying Rocks return my LaysF
Just Emblem of the barren BaysF

Thus far When lo the God of WitG
Who slightly glanc'd on what was writG
Suspend he cries thy Cares a whileH
My Sackville soon shall bless your lsleH
No longer talk of barren BaysF
Remember 'tis a Dorset swaysF
