| He'd bluster and perjure and ravage and murder | D |
| Apart from all that he weren t nice | H |

| He'd two brothers called Robert and Henry | I |
| One older one younger than he | I |
| And by terms of the Will of old Conqueror Bill | J |
| The estate had been split into three | I |

| Thus William became King of England | A |
| And Normandy that went to Bob | K |
| Young Hal got no throne but received a cash bonus | L |
| Instead of a regular job | K |

| But Bob weren't content with his Dukedom | M |
| And Will weren't content with his throne | N |
| Both wanted the lot and each started to plot | O |

| Young Hal went from one to the other | D |

| And mixing the pudding he roused the bad blood in | Q |
| Them both till they reckoned they'd fight | P |

| But HaI chanced to find out what Will had in mind | S |

| The result were when Bill crossed the Channel | G |
| Instead of t'surprise that were meant | T |
| He was met on the shore by Duke Bob and his Normans | R |
| And came back as fast as he went | T |

| And later when Bob crossed to England | A |
| Intending to ravage and sack | U |
| It were Henry again who upset the campaign | F |
| And t'were Robert this time that went back | U |

| After one or two sim'lar debacles | R |
| They tumbled to Henry's tricks | R |
| And joined with each other to find their young brother | D |
| And take him and knock him for six | R |

| But Henry got wind of their coming | V |
