Jasmine Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AB AC DE DF GH IJ KL MD NO

Could you do something for me when you see JasmineA
I haven t seen nor spoken to her for many yearsB
-
Tactfully mention me and observe her reactionA
Her countenance may fall when she hears my nameC
-
Ask her what happened the last time she saw meD
I wonder what she ll say about me behind my backE
-
Tell her that you met me somewhere recentlyD
And say I look much younger than my ageF
-
I hope she doesn t surmise that I asked you to do thisG
Please don't mention the woeful story I told youH
-
Don t say I spoke about my undying love for herI
Don t tell her that you saw sadness in my eyesJ
-
Don't say she broke my heart into piecesK
And when we separated my whole life fell apartL
-
Tell her that I m now a successful businessmanM
Don't let her know about the pain I feel dailyD
-
If she asks you if I mentioned her tell her noN
Just keep the things I said about her confidentialO
