Rhyme Scheme: ABCB DEDE FGFG HIHI JKJK LMLM NGNG FOFO

I ve come to give you fruit from out my orchardA
Of wide reportB
I have trees there that bear me many applesC
Of every sortB
-
Clear streaked red and russet green and goldenD
Sour and sweetE
This apple s from a tree yet unbeholdenD
Where two kinds meetE
-
So that this side is red without a dappleF
And this side s hueG
Is clear and snowy It s a lovely appleF
It is for youG
-
Within are five black pips as big as peasH
As you will findI
Potent to breed you five great apple treesH
Of varying kindI
-
To breed you wood for fire leaves for shadeJ
Apples for sauceK
Oh this is a good apple for a maidJ
It is a crossK
-
Fine on the finer so the flesh is tightL
And grained like silkM
Sweet Burning gave the red side and the whiteL
Is Meadow MilkM
-
Eat it and you will taste more than the fruitN
The blossom tooG
The sun the air the darkness at the rootN
The rain the dewG
-
The earth we came to and the time we fleeF
The fire and the breastO
I claim the white part maiden that s for meF
You take the restO
