The Alchemist Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBCC DDEEFF

I burned my life that I might findA
A passion wholly of the mindA
Thought divorced from eye and boneB
Ecstasy come to breath aloneB
I broke my life to seek reliefC
From the flawed light of love and griefC
-
With mounting beat the utter fireD
Charred existence and desireD
It died low ceased its sudden threshE
I had found unmysterious fleshE
Not the mind's avid substance stillF
Passionate beyond the willF
