Leave-taking Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFGGH IJKLMBNHO

I do not know where either of us can turnA
Just at first waking from the sleep of each otherB
I do not know how we can bearC
The river struck by the gold plummet of the moonD
Or many trees shaken together in the darknessE
We shall wish not to be aloneF
And that love were not dispersed and set freeG
Though you defeat meG
And I be heavy upon youH
-
But like earth heaped over the heartI
Is love grown perfectJ
Like a shell over the beat of lifeK
Is love perfect to the lastL
So let it be the sameM
Whether we turn to the dark or to the kiss of anotherB
Let us know this for leavetakingN
That I may not be heavy upon youH
That you may blind me no moreO

Radha Ranjani Jayawardena : Its about a harsh seperatiion of two devoted lovers, yet human emotions , as usual are hindering them too.Ego of a man could be a blessing but mostly a curse. "That I may not be heavy upon you. That you may not blind me" This quotation is a one but if guardedly read the poem ,one can come across many.Love is sacrificing for each other ,a strenuous task but as long as both do so, (atleast as much as possible ) they will be "struck by the golden plummet of the moon..." Its the truth, but often lovers can not or do not and "LeaveTaking " appears, though they are heart broken .
