Reaching The Hermitage Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABACDEFGHIJKLM

At evening I make it down the mountainA
Keeping company with the moonB
Looking back I see the paths I ve takenA
Blue now blue beneath the skylineC
You greet me show the hidden trackD
Where children pull back hawthorn curtainsE
Reveal green bamboo the secret pathF
Vines that touch the traveller s clothesG
I love finding space to restH
Clear wine to enjoy with youI
Wind in the pines till voices stopJ
Songs till the Ocean of Heaven palesK
I get drunk and you are happyL
Both of us pleased to forget the worldM
