Lu Mountain, Kiangsi Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFGH IJKLMNOP QRSTUV

I climbed west on Incense Cloud PeakA
South I saw the spray filled fallsB
Dropping for ten thousand feetC
Sounding in a hundred gorgesD
Suddenly as if lightning shoneE
Strange as if light wet rainbows liftedF
I thought the Milky Way had shatteredG
Scattering stars through the clouds downwardsH
-
Looking up an even greater forceI
Nature s powers are so intenseJ
The Cosmic Wind blows there without stopK
The river s moon echoes back the lightL
Into vortices where waters rushM
On both sides the clear walls were washedN
By streams of pearl broken into mistO
By clouds of foam whitening over rockP
-
Let me reach those Sublime HillsQ
Where peace comes to the quiet heartR
No more need to find the magic cupS
I ll wash the dust there from my faceT
And live in those regions that I loveU
Separated from the Human WorldV
