Down Zhongnan Mountain Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFGGHEGIJK

Down the blue mountain in the eveningA
Moonlight was my homeward escortB
Looking back I saw my pathC
Lie in levels of deep shadowD
I was passing the farm house of a friendE
When his children called from a gate of thornF
And led me twining through jade bamboosG
Where green vines caught and held my clothesG
And I was glad of a chance to restH
And glad of a chance to drink with my friendE
We sang to the tune of the wind in the pinesG
And we finished our songs as the stars went downI
When I being drunk and my friend more than happyJ
Between us we forgot the worldK
