When I Was Still A Child Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDEFGHIJIKBLBMNON

When I was still a childA
I thought my love would beB
Noble truthful braveC
And very kind to meB
Then all the novels saidD
That if my lover proveE
No such man as thisF
He had to forfeit loveG
Now I know life holdsH
Harder tasks in storeI
If my lover failJ
I must love him moreI
Should he prove unkindK
What am I that heB
Squander soul and strengthL
Smoothing life for meB
Weak or false or cruelM
Love must still be strongN
All my life I'll learnO
How to love as longN
