Lovers Parted Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDEFEGHIJ

Old memories waken old desiresA
Infallibly While we're aliveB
With eye or ear or sense at allC
Sometimes must love reviveB
But we'll not think when some stray gustD
Relumes the flicker of desireE
That fuel of circumstance could makeF
A furnace of our fireE
The past is gone We must believeG
It has no power to change our livesH
Yet still our constant hearts rejoiceI
Because the past survivesJ
