I Dare Not Leave The Splendid Town Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDEFEGHIHJKLKMNON

I dare not leave the splendid townA
To go where morning meadows areB
For somewhere here the Future's hidC
In factory shop or liquor barB
And when the picture shows are closedD
She goes to roam about the docksE
Oh she has wisdom on her mouthF
And blood with honey in her locksE
I dare not read of RosamundG
Or such sweet ladyhood in booksH
Lest dreaming on their excellenceI
I should forget the Future's looksH
And I'll walk lonely all my daysJ
Down city pavements without endK
For with young love on flowery pathsL
I'd have small need of her to friendK
Yea I would fain forget to singM
Like larks in city prison boundN
In case I should not hear her voiceO
Above that clatter of sweet soundN
