He Looks In My Heart And The Image There Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBCCDDAACCAA

He looks in my heart and the image thereA
Is himself himself than himself more fairA
And he thinks of my heart as a mirror clearB
To reflect the image I hold most dearB
But my heart is much more like a stream I thinkC
Where my lover may come when he needs to drinkC
And my heart is a stream that seems asleepD
But the tranquil waters run strong and deepD
They reflect the image that seems most fairA
But their meaning and purpose are otherwhereA
He may come my lover and lie on the brinkC
And gaze at his image and smile and drinkC
While the hidden waters run strong and freeA
Unheeded unguessed at the soul of meA
