And Is Love Very Strong Where Honour Rules? Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFGHIJKBLMN

And is love very strong where honour rulesA
Would the world ever speak of Lancelot's loveB
Or Tristram's love had they put honour firstC
What would you think if Guinevere had kneltD
And begged for kisses and had begged in vainE
Should she be constant had she been refusedF
Or would she laugh and turn to love elsewhereG
But Joseph is a hero nowadaysH
And young Paolo the Italian bloodI
Rather too rash and uncontrollableJ
Lovers who are not free should sigh and partK
Lovers you call them and not free to loveB
They may be wives or husbands businessmenL
Saints even they're not lovers After allM
I'd rather be a lover than a saintN
