Valgovind's Song In The Spring Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AAB CCB DDE FFE GGHIIH GGJKKJ

The Temple bells are ringingA
The young green corn is springingA
And the marriage month is drawing very nearB
-
I lie hidden in the grassC
And I count the moments passC
For the month of marriages is drawing nearB
-
Soon ah soon the women spreadD
The appointed bridal bedD
With hibiscus buds and crimson marriage flowersE
-
Where when all the songs are doneF
And the dear dark night begunF
I shall hold her in my happy arms for hoursE
-
She is young and very sweetG
From the silver on her feetG
To the silver and the flowers in her hairH
And her beauty makes me swoonI
As the Moghra trees at noonI
Intoxicate the hot and quivering airH
-
Ah I would the hours were fleetG
As her silver circled feetG
I am weary of the daytime and the nightJ
I am weary unto deathK
Oh my rose with jasmin breathK
With this longing for your beauty and your lightJ
