Unforgotten Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBACC DEEFFGGHHD IJIJ KKLLMMKNOO CCPPQRRSSQ

Do you ever think of me you who diedA
Ere our Youth's first fervour chilledB
With your soft eyes and your pulses stilledB
Lying alone asideA
Do you ever think of me left in the lightC
From the endless calm of your dawnless nightC
-
I am faithful always I do not sayD
That the lips which thrilled to your lips of oldE
To lesser kisses are always coldE
Had you wished for this in its narrow senseF
Our love perhaps had been less intenseF
But as we held faithfulness you and IG
I am faithful always as you who lieG
Asleep for ever beneath the grassH
While the days and nights and the seasons passH
Pass awayD
-
I keep your memory near my heartI
My brilliant beautiful guiding StarJ
Till long live over I too departI
To the infinite night where perhaps you areJ
-
Oh are you anywhere Loved so wellK
I would rather know you alive in HellK
Than think your beauty is nothing nowL
With its deep dark eyes and tranquil browL
Where the hair fell softly Can this be trueM
That nothing nowhere exists of youM
Nothing nowhere oh loved so wellK
I have never forgottenN
Do you still keepO
Thoughts of me through your dreamless sleepO
-
Oh gone from me lost in Eternal NightC
Lost Star of lightC
Risen splendidly set so soonP
Through the weariness of life's afternoonP
I dream of your memory yetQ
My loved and lost whom I could not saveR
My youth went down with you to the graveR
Though other planets and stars may riseS
I dream of your soft and sorrowful eyesS
And I cannot forgetQ
