| Circled by solitude and tireless duty | C |
| Yet is thy soul made radiant by a dream | B |
| Of delicate and rainbow coloured beauty | C |

| Never a flower trembles in the wind | D |
| Never a sunset lingers on the sea | C |
| But something of its fragrance joins thy mind | D |
| Some sparkle of its light remains with thee | C |
