The daylight is dyingA
The Flying fox flyingA
Amber and amethyst burn in the skyB
See the sun throws a lateC
Lingering roseateD
Kiss to the landscape to bid it good byeB
-
The time of our TrystingB
Oh come unresistingB
Lovely expectant on tentative feetE
Shadow shall cover usF
Roses bend over usF
Making a bride chamber sacred and sweetE
-
We know not life's reasonG
The length of its seasonG
Know not if they know the great Ones aboveH
We none of us sought itI
And few could support itI
Were it not gilt with the glamour of loveH
-
But much is forgivenG
To Gods who have givenG
If but for an hour the Rapture of YouthJ
You do not yet know itI
But Kama shall show itI
Changing your dreams to his Exquisite TruthJ
-
The Fireflies shall light youK
And naught shall afright youK
Nothing shall trouble the Flight of the HoursL
Come for I wait for youK
Night is too late for youK
Come while the twilight is closing the flowersL
-
Every breeze still isM
And scented with liliesN
Cooled by the twilight refreshed by the dewK
The garden lies breathlessF
Where Kama the DeathlessF
In the hushed starlight is waiting for youK
