Prayer Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABACBC DBEDBCE FBFBGG HAIACI JKLJLJKBAJB

You are all that is lovely and lightA
Aziza whom I adoreB
And waking after the nightA
I am weary with dreams of youC
Every nerve in my heart is tense and soreB
As I rise to another morning apart from youC
-
I dream of your luminous eyesD
Aziza whom I adoreB
Of the ruffled silk of your hairE
I dream and the dreams are liesD
But I love them knowing no moreB
Will ever be mine of youC
Aziza my life's despairE
-
I would burn for a thousand daysF
Aziza whom I adoreB
Be tortured slain in unheard of waysF
If you pitied the pain I boreB
You pity Your bright eyes fastened on other thingsG
Are keener to sting my soul than scorpion stingsG
-
You are all that is lovely to meH
All that is lightA
One white rose in a Desert of wearinessI
I only live in the nightA
The night with its fair false dreams of youC
You and your lovelinessI
-
Give me your love for a dayJ
A night an hourK
If the wages of sin are DeathL
I am willing to payJ
What is my life but a breathL
Of passion burning awayJ
Away for an unplucked flowerK
O Aziza whom I adoreB
Aziza my one delightA
Only one night I will die before dayJ
And trouble your life no moreB
