The Map Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEF GHIJ KLMN OPQGRS

Applying to Heavy Equipment SchoolA
I marched farther into the Great PlainsB
And refused to come outC
I threw up a few scaffolds of disinterestD
Around me in the fields the hogs gruntedE
And lay on their sidesF
-
-
You came with a little water and went awayG
The glass is still on the tableH
And the paperI
And the burned scaffoldsJ
-
You were bent over the sink washing your stockingsK
I came up behind you like the night sky behind the townL
You stood frowning at your knucklesM
And did not speakN
-
At night I lie still like BoliviaO
My furnaces turn blueP
My forests go darkQ
You are a low range of hills a ParaguayG
Now the clouds cover us bothR
It is raining and the movie houses are openS
