| With political unrest raising its ugly head | B |
| And the world seems to look for justice that s has gone | C |
| Distant from reality pronounced dead | B |
| On arrival on the tables of injustice and inequality | D |

| A nation divided torn asunder | E |
| Like a cloth ripped and torn into two | F |
| I can feel the presence of unresolved rest go under | E |
| To low to come up and go through | F |
| The fire but still gets burned | G |

| Where is the love pouring from heart to heart | H |
| And from mind to mind | I |
| It seems like it s torn asunder torn apart | H |
| But where is mankind | I |
| When we need them the most | J |

| Mankind went to the nearest dope house for that artificial fix | K |
| To remove themselves from the pain of reality | D |
| While the single mom feeding mouths of six | K |
| While trying to hold things down you see | D |

| That s not the end of the story here | L |
| When a young black boy dreams to get out of the ghetto | M |
| Away from the rough necks but runs scare with fear | N |
| Either get gun down from a trigger happy cop or own kind leaving a mother in sorrow and in tears | O |
| And that s just reported on the local six o clock news | P |

| When a girl gets snatched up off the streets | Q |
| Finding them turning tricks for one night of glory | D |
| And if they are a good girl they ll get a special treat | R |
| To soothe their troubled minds | S |

| A man pushing a cart down the street to find food somewhere | T |
| Anywhere as he goes dumpster diving inside | U |
| Not finding a dream but a meal that someone can share | T |
| To stay alive or die | V |

| Where families comes to this country for a fair chance at life | W |
| In order to live in peace and not fear | N |
| Without all that strife | W |
| To hold to what they got even if it is just a dream | X |

| The common man putting in the hours he need | Y |
| Working hard all day in order to survive | Z |
| And it isn t still enough to feed | Y |
| Other mouths in the house to feed | Y |

| People dropping like flies | A2 |
| From a pandemic that s killing folks left and right | B2 |
| Can you hear the love ones cries | A2 |
| Asking God why him why her | E |
| Can someone help us please | C2 |

| In the mist of all that s going on | A |
| While the world wondering if this going to end | D2 |
| In the meantime the song repeats that same song | E2 |
| While others cover their ears from hearing the truth | F2 |
| As society pats you on the head calling you friend | D2 |
| I have no friends | G2 |
| Just associates wearing a mask of deceit | R |
| Trying to fool somebody but in the end | D2 |
| They re there to beat you down | H2 |
| Calling you everything but a child of a God | I2 |
| That s strange that someone won t believe that God is real | J2 |
| Or discount Him out the picture of reality is seal | J2 |
| With grace and mercy | D |

| The people that looks like me are being killed off one by one | K2 |
| As the ones who supposedly protect and serve | L2 |
| Placing their knees on our black men s neck | M2 |
| And these thugs got some damn nerves | N2 |
| After help build this country for all people | O2 |
| And so that s the thanks we get for all this unnecessary drama | P2 |
