During the day, throughout the night,
I trust whoever reads this keeps their lips sealed tight.
Each night, when you go to lay your head,
I’ll be in my room, not sleeping, but, crying instead.

Mom says, “Shoulders back and stand up straight.”
I do what she says, but I’m crumbling under all the weight.
She says, “Stop acting like a boy.”
So, I give in and allow her to dress me up like some kind of toy.
