O hideous little bat the size of snot	A
With polyhedral eye and shabby clothes	B
To populate the stinking cat you walk	C
The promontory of the dead man s nose	D
Climb with the fine leg of a Duncan Phyfe	E
The smoking mountains of my food	F
And in a comic mood	F
In mid air take to bed a wife	E

Riding and riding with your filth of hair	G
On gluey foot or wing forever coy	H
Hot from the compost and green sweet decay	I
Sounding your buzzer like an urchin toy	H
You dot all whiteness with diminutive stool	J
In the tight belly of the dead	K
Burrow with hungry head	K
And inlay maggots like a jewel	L

At your approach the great horse stomps and paws	M
Bringing the hurricane of his heavy tail	N
Shod in disease you dare to kiss my hand	O
Which sweeps against you like an angry flail	N
Still you return return trusting your wing	P
To draw you from the hunter s reach	Q
That learns to kill to teach	Q
Disorder to the tinier thing	P

My peace is your disaster For your death	R
Children like spiders cup their pretty hands	S
And wives resort to chemistry of war	T
In fens of sticky paper and quicksands	S
You glue yourself to death Where you are stuck	U
You struggle hideously and beg	V
You amputate your leg	V
Imbedded in the amber muck	U

But I a man must swat you with my hate	W
Slap you across the air and crush your flight	X
Must mangle with my shoe and smear your blood	Y
Expose your little guts pasty and white	X
Knock your head sidewise like a drunkard s hat	Z
Pin your wings under like a crow s	A2
Tear off your flimsy clothes	B
And beat you as one beats a rat	Z

Then like Gargantua I stride among	B2
The corpses strewn like raisins in the dust	C2
The broken bodies of the narrow dead	K
That catch the throat with fingers of disgust	C2
I sweep One gyrates like a top and falls	D2
And stunned stone blind and deaf	E
Buzzes its frightful F	E
And dies between three cannibals	E2
