I Said To The Wanting-creature Inside Me Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCD EFG HIAD AJAK LMN

I said to the wanting creature inside meA
What is this river you want to crossB
There are no travelers on the river road and no roadC
Do you see anyone moving about on that bank or nestingD
-
There is no river at all and no boat and no boatmanE
There is no tow rope either and no one to pull itF
There is no ground no sky no time no bank no fordG
-
And there is no body and no mindH
Do you believe there is some place that will make theI
soul less thirstyA
In that great absence you will find nothingD
-
Be strong then and enter into your own bodyA
there you have a solid place for your feetJ
Think about it carefullyA
Don't go off somewhere elseK
-
Kabir says this just throw away all thoughts ofL
imaginary thingsM
and stand firm in that which you areN
