Oh God Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABC DACC EEFF CCGG CCCC

God almighty of generations allA
who did witness great empires rise and fallA
We gladly wait for thy eternal reignB
when saints martyred will beam with smiles unfeignedC
-
God immortal of centuries agelessD
whose dexterity carved our global ballA
When will thy saints the new earth inheritC
where conduct is guided by thy spiritC
-
God universal of all earth's racesE
who ingeniously made different facesE
We anxiously wait for contempt to ceaseF
in our world of disdain and fragile peaceF
-
God magnanimous of fields succulentC
who buried riches in lands opulentC
We thy loyal flock seek living waterG
help us oh Lord thy great laws to masterG
-
God the merciful of love undeservedC
who through Christ the entire human race servedC
Mercifully hear us thy servants pleadC
Help us obliterate each carnal misdeedC
