On Gold Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBCCDDEEBBFG HHBBBB IIJJKKLLBBMM

All ruling tyrant of the earthA
To vilest slaves I owe my birthA
How is the greatest monarch blestB
When in my gaudy livery drestB
No haughty nymph has power to runC
From me or my embraces shunC
Stabb'd to the heart condemn'd to flameD
My constancy is still the sameD
The favourite messenger of JoveE
And Lemnian god consulting stroveE
To make me glorious to the sightB
Of mortals and the gods' delightB
Soon would their altar's flame expireF
If I refused to lend them fireG
-
-
By fate exalted high in placeH
Lo here I stand with double faceH
Superior none on earth I findB
But see below me all mankindB
Yet as it oft attends the greatB
I almost sink with my own weightB
-
-
At every motion undertookI
The vulgar all consult my lookI
I sometimes give advice in writingJ
But never of my own inditingJ
I am a courtier in my wayK
For those who raised me I betrayK
And some give out that I enticeL
To lust to luxury and diceL
Who punishments on me inflictB
Because they find their pockets picktB
By riding post I lose my healthM
And only to get others wealthM
