Sonnet Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis
Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCEFGFGHI| Flesh I have knocked at many a dusty door | A |
| Gone down full many a midnight lane | B |
| Probed in old walls and felt along the floor | A |
| Pressed in blind hope the lighted window pane | B |
| But useless all though sometimes when the moon | C |
| Was full in heaven and the sea was full | D |
| Along my body's alleys came a tune | C |
| Played in the tavern by the Beautiful | E |
| Then for an instant I have felt at point | F |
| To find and seize her whosoe'er she be | G |
| Whether some saint whose glory doth anoint | F |
| Those whom she loves or but a part of me | G |
| Or something that the things not understood | H |
| Make for their uses out of flesh and blood | I |
