When My Time Is Come Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAAB CDCCD EFGEH IJIIJ

When my time is come to dieA
I would shun the decent gloomB
Whispered word and weeping eyeA
Fitful hum of knowing flyA
Questing through the darkened roomB
-
I would lay my skin and boneC
Where no busy care could traceD
Failing steps by bush and stoneC
With my farewell dream aloneC
In a bird frequented placeD
-
So the sounds that bless my earE
When my weary eyelids closeF
Will be songs of hope and cheerG
So departing I shall hearE
How the tide of living flowsH
-
So my memories shall not beI
Blurred by griefs however trueJ
So my drowsy sense may seeI
Eyes that light in love on meI
So I'll not be leaving youJ
