Toby Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD EFEF

Hey Toby Toby Toby DeadA
The silence is a floodB
That closes choking overheadA
And chills the living bloodB
-
The leaping friend whose jolly barkC
Was greeting every nightD
No more to thrill the summer darkC
With welcome of delightD
-
Beside his grave I bend the kneeE
And O my eyes are dimF
He hunted for the dog in meE
I found the man in himF
