The Liner Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CACA DEFE GHIH AJAJ KLKL

The foamy waves are swishingA
As patiently we thudB
But O the wave of wishingA
That surges in my bloodB
-
Along the ocean's rim nowC
With never ceasing songA
I wish that I could swim nowC
And shove the boat alongA
-
My heart is crying tirelessD
The word it has to sayE
What need have we of wirelessF
Who know a better wayE
-
The slow craft plunges nor'wardG
And welters on the blueH
My thoughts are floating forwardI
And swooping home to youH
-
Your magic love is tinglingA
In every vein of meJ
And you and I are minglingA
In spite of rolling seaJ
-
Yet O that I could borrowK
That albatross's flightL
To morrow Love to morrowK
Is our supreme delightL
