Those Days Have Gone. Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDED FGFGHDED IJIJKDED LMLMNDED

Those days have gone those happy daysA
When we two loved to roamB
Beside the rivulet that straysA
Near by my rustic homeB
Yes they have fled and in the pastC
We've left them far behindD
Yet dear I hold those days of oldE
When you were true and kindD
-
You dreamed not then of wealth or fameF
The world was bright and fairG
I seldom knew a grief or gameF
That you too did not shareG
And though I mourn my hapless fateH
In mem'ry's store I findD
And dearly hold those days of oldE
When you were true and kindD
-
Say can the wealth you now possessI
Such happiness procureJ
As did our youthful pleasures blessI
When both our hearts were pureJ
No and though wandering apartK
I strive to be resignedD
And dearer hold those days of oldE
When you were true and kindD
-
And if your thoughts should turn to meL
With one pang of regretM
Know that this heart still beats for theeL
And never will forgetM
Those tender links of long agoN
Are round my heart entwinedD
And dear I hold those days of oldE
When you were true and kindD
