Somebody's. Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDEFE GHGHGIFI FJKJLMHM MNANOPQP

Oh isn't it nice to be somebody'sA
Somebody's darling and petB
To be shrined in the heart of a dear oneC
Whose absence fills soul with regretB
To be dreamed of and longed for and courtedD
As the Queen whom his heart holds in thrallE
As the one the great one priceless jewelF
That outweighs and outvalues them allE
-
Oh I'd rather my head should be restingG
On the breast of the man that I loveH
And my hand in his strong grasp be nestlingG
And bask in the light of his loveH
I would rather far rather my darlingG
Should be loving and faithful and braveI
Than be titled and wealthy and fickleF
E'en though poverty held him a slaveI
-
Oh my heart yearns for one that is nobleF
In mind not in riches or birthJ
Who would love me and value my love tooK
Then my lot would be heaven on earthJ
But where alas where shall I find himL
This man that my heart longs for soM
This idol I picture and dream ofH
Does he live I'm inclined to say noM
-
He is merely a fanciful heroM
That my heart has pictured so fairN
I must stoop from my realm of wild fancyA
And take what may fall to my shareN
Some plain honest working mechanicO
May be the prize I may call mineP
But if shaped like a man he'll be betterQ
Nor be left lonely without ValentineP
