Shut Out. Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: A BBCCDDEE FFGGHFEE IIJJKKEE

The drunkard shall not enter the Kingdom of HeavenA
-
Far far beyond the skiesB
The land of promise liesB
When Death our souls releaseC
A home of love and peaceC
Has been prepared for allD
Who heed the gracious callD
Drunkards that goal ne'er winE
They cannot enter inE
-
Time noiselessly flits byF
Eternity draws nighF
Will the fleet joy you gainG
Compensate for the painG
That through an endless dayH
Will wring your soul for ayeF
Slave to beer rum or ginE
You cannot enter inE
-
Dash down the flowing bowlI
Endanger not thy soulI
Ponder those words of dreadJ
That God Himself has saidJ
Hurl the vile tempter downK
And win and wear the crownK
Drunkard forsake thy sinE
Thou mayst then enter inE
