My Polly's varry bonnyA
Her een are black an breetB
They shine under her raven locksC
Like stars i'th' dark o'th' neetB
-
Her little cheeks are like a peachD
'At th' sun has woo'd an missedB
Her lips like cherries red an sweetB
Seem moulded to be kissedB
-
Her breast is like a drift o' snowE
Her little waist's soa thinF
To clasp it wi' a careless armG
Wod ommost be a sinF
-
Her little hands an tiny feetB
Wod mak yo think shoo'd beenF
Browt up wi' little fairy fowkH
To be a fairy queenI
-
An when shoo laffs it saands as ifJ
A little crystal springH
Wor bubblin up throo silver rocksC
Screened by an angel's wingH
-
It saands soa sweet an yet soa lowE
One feels it forms a partB
Ov what yo love an yo can hearK
Its echoes in yor heartB
-
It isn't likely aw shall winF
An wed soa rich a prizeL
But ther's noa tellin what strange thingsM
Man may do if he triesL
