Seemed to make its cosy nest | F |
Where the stranger's only passport | G |
Was the need of food and rest | F |
Show the schoolhouse where with others | H |
I engaged in mental strife | I |
And the playground where as brothers | H |
Running jumping full of life | I |

Now I see the lovely maiden | A |
That my young heart captive led | J |
Like a sylph with gold curls laden | A |
And her lips of cherry red | J |
Now fond voices seem to echo | K |
Tones as when I heard them last | L |
And my heart sighs sadly Heigh ho | K |
For the joys for ever past | L |

Come ye wandering thoughts again | N |
Memories however pleasant | M |
Will not rid to day of pain | O |
Now we live the past is buried | P |
We are midway in life's stream | Q |
