Bachelors Quest Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABACDEDEFEFGABACHEHE IJIJKLKLMNMNOPQPRBRC

She may be dark or may be fairA
If beauty she possessesB
But she must have abundant hairA
I doat on flowing tressesC
Her skin must be clear soft and whiteD
Her cheeks with health's tints glowingE
Her eyes beam with a liquid lightD
Red lips her white teeth showingE
She must be graceful as a fawnF
With bosom gently swellingE
Her presence fresh as early dawnF
A heart for love to dwell inG
She must be trusting yet awareA
That flatterer's honey'd phrasesB
Are often but a wily snareA
To catch her in love's mazesC
Accomplishments she must possessH
These make life worth the havingE
And taste especially in dressH
Yet still inclined to savingE
In cookery she must excelI
To this there's no exceptionJ
And serve a frugal meal as wellI
As manage a receptionJ
Untidyness she must abhorK
In every household matterL
And resolutely close the doorK
To any gossip's chatterL
She must love children for a homeM
Ne'er seems like home without 'emN
And women seldom care to roamM
Who love their babes about 'emN
Should she have wealth she must not boastO
Or tell of what she brought meP
Content that I should rule the roostQ
That's what my father taught meP
If I can find some anxious maidR
Who all these charms possessesB
I shall be tempted I'm afraidR
To pay her my addressesC
