The Christian Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCD EFGHIJ KLMNOPB

I heard a story of a sailing manA
He was a surly sort of marinerB
He used to swear at all the seven seasC
And rode them dauntless up and down the earthD
-
-
But when he sickened of the windy washE
He took to wife a proper village womanF
And put her in a precious little houseG
And there he weathered many winter seasonsH
Knocking the ashes neatly from his pipeI
Upon the tended hearthJ
-
-
And only when he went upon the moorsK
And felt the sting and censure of the windsL
And tasted of the salt blown in from seaM
Then only would he curse the marriage morningN
And swear he'd not go skulking back againO
To sit that hearth like any broken bitchP
Whose running time was overB
