Darkness Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDB EFGFHF IJKJLJ

WHEN hurrying home on a rainy nightA
And hearing tree tops rubbed and tossedB
And seeing never a friendly starC
And feeling your way when paths are crossedB
Stop fast and turn three times aroundD
And try the logic of the lostB
-
-
Where is the heavenly light you dreamedE
Where is your hearth and glowing ashF
Where is your love by the mellow moonG
Here is not even a lightning flashF
And in a place no worse than thisH
Lost men shall wail and teeth shall gnashF
-
-
Lightning is quick and perilousI
The dawn comes on too slow and paleJ
Your love brings only a yellow lampK
Yet of these lights one shall availJ
The dark shall break for one of theseL
I've never known this thing to failJ
